Through the second half of 2020, 6 River Systems continued its momentum during a truly unpredictable year. Even with the challenges and roadblocks presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we experienced several highlights in the second half of the year demonstrated by hosting the industry’s largest gathering of fulfillment professionals, four award wins and a record number of deployments in new sites. This momentum shows an increasing number of customers who turned to 6 River Systems for a solution that would support them during the unprecedented 2020 holiday peak season.
We hosted our second annual user conference, FLOW 2020, virtually September 16-17. At FLOW, we announced enhancements to our wall-to-wall fulfillment solution, including The Bridge, an overarching tool that connects the data from what’s happening on the ground in a physical warehouse operation to an intuitive cloud-based control center. The Bridge gives our customers the ability to fine tune and control each aspect of their operation and optimize their warehouse to meet the unique needs of the business. We also announced updates to our inbound, count and move, packout and allocation capabilities.
FreightWaves, the industry-leading provider of news, data and analytics for the logistics markets, named 6 River Systems a 2021 FreightTech 25 winner. We join the list of some of the most innovative companies across the industry, featuring both young startups and household names. FreightWaves recognized 6RS based on nominations from FreightWaves readers, many of whom are industry leaders and experts.
Our very own VP of Product & Analytics, Gillan Hawkes, was recognized as a Top Woman in Supply Chain by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Gillan’s leadership and expertise sets her apart as an exemplary role model both here at 6 River Systems and in the industry. She is passionate about mentoring the women in the company to share her knowledge, advice and experiences and help them grow in their careers. She is a driver for diversity in a historically male-dominated industry and aims to expand her mentoring to more women in the industry, including clients.
We were also named a 2020 Supply Chain Brief MVP Award Winner in the technology category. Supply Chain Brief brings together the best content from hundreds of industry thought-leaders and recognizes the Most Valuable Posts as judged by the publication’s readers, award committee, machine intelligence and social media. We are proud to be a leading voice in the industry and to offer valuable insight to our peers. Read our award-winning piece here: “Ultimate guide to technologies that are transforming supply chains”.
6 River Systems was also named a Food Logistics FL100+ Award winner in the automated handling solutions category. The food supply chain is a topic that remained top of mind through 2020 as COVID-19 shifted the way that consumers shop for groceries. Chuck was acknowledged for its ability to support employees through the picking process as grocery retailers put a larger focus on curbside pickup and online orders.
Additionally, we are honored to have been recognized as a Boston Globe Top Place to Work and a finalist for Material Handling Product News Readers’ Choice Products of the Year.

SPARK Matrix Recognition
In November, we announced that 6 River Systems was named a 2020 SPARK Matrix Leader in the global autonomous mobile robot market by Quadrant Knowledge Solutions. We were recognized as a top performer and technology leader in the study of 12 key vendors in the global autonomous mobile robot market. The results were determined by an in-depth analysis of major autonomous mobile robot vendors by evaluating their products, market presence and value proposition. 6RS received strong overall ratings across the parameters of the technology excellence and the customer impact and emerged as the technology leader in the 2020 SPARK Matrix analysis.
We are off to a fast start in 2021. This year, we are investing in our customers as they continue to grow with both 6RS and Shopify, and we are adding engineers to our team to enhance our wall-to-wall capabilities. We remain committed to supporting our customers through any challenge, while keeping the health and safety of both their and our employees top of mind. We were flexible and nimble last year and plan to continue doing so in 2021 as we dedicate a larger focus on optimizing the entire fulfillment process within the four walls of a warehouse. Stay tuned for what’s in store for 6RS and our customers as we navigate through the new year!
