Thanks to strong sales in the first half of the year, our team needs to grow to answer the increasing demand for Chuck, our collaborative mobile warehouse robot that helps warehouse pickers work faster and smarter. Through our robots and software, warehouses are improving their productivity at a fraction of the cost of traditional automation.
So why should you apply for a job here at 6 River Systems?
The elevator pitch
We’re proud of what we do. This is a fairly new solution in the warehouse automation market, and our approach is one we have patented. You get to work with robots (we call them Chucks) and really smart people, in a market that is growing fast. Employees here will tell you no day at 6 River Systems is the same — your work will make a difference in the lives of people working in warehouses, workers who might be shipping goods to your family and friends.
We’re on track to expand our footprint to 30 sites and 600 robots this year. That means we need to hire you now more than ever.
Culture-wise, we’ve got all the fun elements that come with startup life. We host a biweekly gathering called RivSocial, and every quarter we host an inclusive company-wide event, open to friends and family. During RivSocials, we bring out the ping-pong table, cornhole, board games and beer. We also play music (the Hardware team has the best playlists) and hang out on our outdoor patio, which is also home to a small garden.
We’ve fleshed out our core values in this neat slide deck if you’ve got a minute to check it out.
But what about the work?
While we like to have fun, we’re serious about our work. People are passionate about their projects. In a recent company survey, almost everyone at the company rated their satisfaction a 4 or 5 out of 5. In the same survey, employees were asked to describe the company in their own words. The top phrases were:
