We’re very excited to announce that Amy Villeneuve, a seasoned executive and former President and COO of Kiva Systems, has joined our Board of Directors.
Amy brings with her extensive experience in growing businesses, particularly in the robotics space. At Kiva Systems, she spearheaded a period of rapid growth, ultimately leading to its acquisition by Amazon for $775M in 2012. She remained with Amazon as VP of Amazon, President & COO of Kiva Systems (renamed Amazon Robotics) until 2015.
“6 River Systems has taken the lead in providing a next generation fulfillment solution for an expanding market looking to modernize their supply chains,” Amy said. “The team stands out with its experience in designing and deploying advanced automation systems at scale.”
While at Amazon, Amy also left her mark as a woman leader in tech. She was selected to serve on Amazon’s Women in Engineering Advisory Board. She also served as Amazon’s representative to the Anita Borg Institute’s Technical Executive Forum.
Both 6RS co-founders and co-CEOs Jerome Dubois and Rylan Hamilton worked closely with Amy during their tenure at Kiva Systems.
“The whole company is excited to have Amy join our board and help us take the business to the next level,” Rylan Hamilton, co-founder and co-CEO of 6RS said. “She has deep operational and organization leadership experience, which will help us grow quickly over the next few years.”
