Learn how autonomous robots move in warehouses

Events Updated January 19th, 2023

Solving big problems with robotics is our passion. And we’d like to invite you to be a part of it.

We’re excited to sponsor and host the next meetup of the Boston Autonomous Vehicles group on Thursday, April 26, at our Waltham warehouse. Our co-founder and CTO Chris Cacioppo and Head of Robotics Dan Winkler will be talking about the challenges autonomous robots face in distribution centers, and how we’re solving them with our innovative warehouse robot Chuck. Chris will talk about robotics, computer vision, object detection and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). The attendees will also get the chance to meet Chuck.

“Come learn how robots localize themselves using advanced Monte Carlo Localization,” Chris said. “We’ll provide relatable concepts everyone can understand, and then dive deeper into the algorithms.”

More on 6 River Systems

6 River Systems is the new way companies fulfill. Our founders were executives at Kiva Systems, a robotics company that Amazon bought for $775 million in 2012. Our team include Kiva and Amazon alums with decades of automation, software and operations experience. We’ve designed, built and deployed systems with 100,000+ robots in use. No other team in the world has our experience in designing large-scale mobile robotic solutions for warehouses.
